  • Start at Marangu Gate and hike through dense rainforest, spotting unique flora and small wildlife along the way. Arrive at Mandara Hut for an overnight stay.
  • Elevation: 2,700m to 3,720m
  • Distance: 12 km | Time: 6-8 hours
  • Continue the trek, passing through heather and moorland zones. Reach Horombo Hut with views of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. Overnight at Horombo Hut.
  • Elevation: 3,720m to 4,703m
  • Distance: 10 km | Time: 5-6 hours
  • Trek through the alpine desert, with a final ascent to Kibo Hut. Rest here to prepare for the summit attempt. Overnight at Kibo Hut.
  • Elevation: 4,703m to 5,895m (summit), then back to 3,720m
  • Distance: 15 km | Time: 10-12 hours
  • Begin the climb at midnight, reaching Gilman’s Point at sunrise. Continue to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. After a short celebration, descend to Horombo Hut.
  • Elevation: 3,720m to 1,870m
  • Distance: 20 km | Time: 5-7 hours
  • A final descent through the rainforest to Marangu Gate. Receive your summit certificate and transfer back to your hotel.
