  • Climb steep ridges into the moorland zone, enjoying views of Shira Plateau. Camp at Shira Camp.
  • Elevation: 3,840m to 4,600m (Lava Tower) down to 3,950m
  • Distance: 10 km | Time: 6-8 hours
  • Ascend to Lava Tower for acclimatization, then descend to Barranco Camp. The route provides acclimatization and views of the Barranco Valley.
  • Elevation: 3,950m to 4,035m
  • Distance: 5 km | Time: 4-5 hours
  • A short day to cross the Great Barranco Wall, providing stunning views and easy climbing challenges. Overnight at Karanga Camp.
  • Elevation: 4,035m to 4,680m
  • Distance: 4 km | Time: 4-5 hours
  • Trek to Barafu Camp, the base camp for your summit attempt. Rest and prepare for the early ascent. Overnight at Barafu Camp.
  • Elevation: 4,680m to 5,895m (summit), then down to 3,068m
  • Distance: 17 km | Time: 10-12 hours
  • Early morning ascent to Uhuru Peak. After celebrating, descend to Mweka Camp for overnight.
